Where are we?

We are currently in the Dallas Design District - 1027 Dragon St. - Dallas - 75207, but will soon be moving to Southlake! We are all very excited and can’t wait to share our new studio with all of you!


What if I’ve booked my wedding with Krause Studios, will Mike & ReJana still be there?

Absolutely! This change has no affect on current or past clients. All new weddings and sessions will now be booked through BluDoor Studios.

Baby Sawyer is One!

We got to enjoy a couple of cuties this past Sunday! Here is the first one.....oh and his parents too! hehe Jennifer (mom) was at a a wedding we shot last summer, and is going to be the Matron of Honor in a wedding we are shooting this year! Sawyer just turned a year old and couldn't be any cuter. He was so good during this shoot....I think we're going to have to get him to give Macie a few lessons!!!

Seniors, Seniors, Seniors!!!! Class of 2008

All I can say is WOW! We shot these on one of those CRAZY cold days in Dallas...but you can't tell by looking at Ellie! She looked beautiful and bared the cold for some great shots. We had the pleasure of meeting Ellie, when we shot her sister Elizabeth's wedding last year....we are also excited to shoot her other sister Emily's wedding this August! Now Ellie.....you can't go off and get married on us....at least not for several years! hehe Ellie is one of the busiest Seniors we know! Cheerleading, Competitive Dance, looking at Colleges, Lifeguarding.....I'm tired just listing it all!

Baby S is ONE!

We had the joy to have this little one in our studio recently....she is just a doll! Here are a couple of our favorites showing off her Oopsy Daisy Baby Pettiskirt and top! She just turned a year old and is already running!! hehe

Erin & Dave - Urban Engagements with a LOT of laughter!

I can't begin to tell you how much we laughed with these two! Seriously, my mouth hurt from smiling when this one was over. We had so much fun....we can only imagine how awesome the wedding is going to be!! Dave is getting ready to ship overseas to serve our country for a few months....be safe Dave, we can't wait for you to come home!!!

These two met at Vanderbilt and if we have the story correct, it took him almost 4 years to get her to go out with him! hehe They got a little tired during the session and decided to "lay down!" Let's just say he made her drop and give him 20 during the session as well.....see below!

Devin and Ben's Engagement Session - Dallas

We had fun with these two even though it was REALLY cold the day we shot their engagements! Devin kept jumping around to stay warm....I think we caught her in action! We can't to shoot their wedding in a couple of months!

Sweet Baby A

I have been taking pictures of this baby since he was about 3 months old (in the womb that is!) I also had the privilege to document his birth! (Slideshow to come!)

Kristle & Todd - The Ashton Depot, Fort Worth

These two had a ball on their wedding day! It's the first wedding we've been to with two bands!!! They were both great and the dance floor was full all night. Here are a few memories from their day. Be sure to look for some of Kristle and Todd's images in the Ashton Depot's marketing materials and an upcoming wedding magazine! They had some great details and ideas for their wedding.

Kelley & Dianthe's Maternity Session

Some of you have been following the monthly sessions we've been doing with Dianthe. Dianthe is the person who takes all of the calls on the Kidd Kraddick in the morning show on Kiss fm in Dallas. She is also a FABULOUS wedding planner. We love these two....she is officially our first bride to have a baby (but Lauren is running a close second!!!)

Macie is ONE!!!!

Many of our clients have met our daughter (or I was pregnant when we shot their weddings) so we are always getting asked for pictures of her.....well, she just turned one on December 13th. She didn't want to have ANYTHING to do with her cake!

She is not like her Mom and Dad as she wanted nothing to do with her cake! Not interested at all!!! Donna at Opulent Cakes made her cake and it was FABULOUS.....as usual.

Amanda & Tim - Engagements Dallas

We had so much fun with these two!!!! It was a little chilly outside....but you wouldn't have known it to watch these guys!!! They are truly in love and don't mind showing it!! They were real "sports" for some of our crazy ideas. Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!!!

We can't wait for their wedding and reception at the Adolphus in September!

Heather and Jim - Fort Worth Engagements

We met with Heather and her Mom a few weeks ago and scheduled to take some engagements while Jim was home from the Army over the Holidays. They are waiting on orders to know WHEN they can get married......but we think it will be next year! We had a ball in Downtown Fort Worth....we even stopped into the Flying Saucer to have a beer during our session! We were off to a good start as I was wearing my UT gear and come to find out Jim played Hockey at UT for 4 years and Heather graduated from St. Edwards in Austin! So we had a lot to talk about. Not to mention they are High School sweethearts who went to the same school as Mike. It truly is a small world!!!!!

Thanks for being so much fun you two and Jim....stay SAFE!

Holiday Engagements! - Lana & Matt

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a few days of relaxation! We certainly did!!! We were delivering prints and canvases until the Friday before Christmas!!! So we are glad to be relaxing for a few days this week....maybe we will even have some time to really update our blog!!

Here are some images from a session last week with Lana & Matt. They went to SFA (where Mike went) and come to find out Mike and Matt were in the same fraternity....several years apart however! We can't wait to photograph their wedding in the spring.

This was from a wedding we photographed in March of this year.....despite the outdoor wedding and the great clothing for the bride and bridesmaids....it was REALLY cold that day!!! But you can't tell by looking.

We just recently completed a Couple of days where we shot Christmas Card Photos! We had SOOO much fun! Lot's of kids, Christmas music, donuts, candy, ornaments and some reindeer antlers....oh and Santa too! Our clients donated to the Genesis Women's Shelter and we were able to raise over $600 for this great organization! Thanks everyone!!!

Super Cool Groovy Photo Booth - The Photo Lounge

Do you have a fun bunch of friends coming to your wedding?

WELLLLLLLL introducing our new Photo Booth - known as "The Photo Lounge!"

This is a freestanding set up that is completely enclosed and photographer free.....that always makes for more interesting pics! Friends can go in and take their photos and we process them on site and give them their photos to take home that night! We can also add your names, wedding date or company logo to each photo! This has been a huge hit and we hope to bring it to YOUR next big event.

Holiday Card Photo Sessions - Genesis Women's Shelter

Hello friends and family! We are scheduling 2 days of 20 minute sessions in our studio for families and kids. However, we are not charging a session fee! We just ask that you make a donation to Genesis Womens Shelter in lieu of a session fee. We will be collecting the money - either in check or cash - and providing a tax deductible receipt from Genesis for your donation.

You will be able to view several styles of our custom Holiday Cards, choose your design, and place your order for this year. The photos will be posted a few days after your session. You will then be able to select the images for your custom card and order any additional prints as gifts. The cards and prints will be completed in approximately 2 weeks.

Our hope is to make the Holiday Card sessions as easy as possible for everyone and raise money for a great charity in the meantime!

We will be scheduling the Holiday Card sessions on the following days:

Sunday, October 21st 11 am - 4 (Every 30 minutes) (Cowboys play at 3:15)
and
Sunday, November 11th 11 am - 4 (Every 30 minutes) (Cowboys play at 3:15)

Kylie's Bridals - Downtown Fort Worth

Some of you may remember seeing Kylie's wedding pictures on the blog...she decided she wanted to do Bridals after the wedding....so here are a few of our favorites. Taking these was so much fun....she showed up driving her car IN her wedding dress (long story) then a huge storm came in and drenched us all....but we managed to get some cool sky shots! Enjoy.

Karen & Derrick's Wedding - Arlington Hall at Lee Park, Oak Lawn United Methodist

Some of you have been following the story of Karen and Derrick on our blog. They are a ton of fun and put together a simply fabulous wedding. Because there are so many pics, we are going to blog this one in phases! Here is phase one! Their wedding was held at Oak Lawn United Methodist. The girls had their hair and makeup done at Osgood-O'Neil Salon, the wedding party stayed at the Crescent and the Melrose hotels, and the reception was held at Arlington Hall at Lee Park. There were many great vendors including the band Inside Out, Chris Watson with Dynamo Video, Stacey with the Wildflower did the flowers and many of the details you will see at the reception and Sarah with AK Events, handled the coordination. Destination Wedding Contest!

If you or someone you know, is getting married in an exotic locale in 2008.....then this is the contest for you! To enter, you must send us a one page letter explaining how the two of you met and why you should be chosen as the Destination Wedding 2008 Couple! Along with your letter, please submit two photographs of you two together. You can send it all electronically to our email at info@krausestudios.com. Please put Destination Wedding 2008 in the title. We have passports and will go anywhere; however, the only stipulation is we must be available on your date. To view our calendar, visit www.krausestudios.com and click on Calendar.

Here is what you get......two photographers for the day of the wedding, rehearsal if you would like....and a day after session on the beach/in town/on location. During the day after session....we can do some cool, fun stuff and get as crazy as you would like! You will also receive all of your high resolution images on DVD, online proofing and ordering for family and friends, and a proof magazine with all of your images.

You provide.....two round trip airline tickets to the location and 2 or 3 nights lodging, depending on how much you would like for us to shoot! That's it!

Karen's Bridals - Arlington Hall at Lee Park

Karen has been a ball to work with this year....her wedding was FABULOUS! Here are few of her bridals...come back to check out the wedding! We are going to have to do a 5 volume set of her album as we shot one of their "3" Engagement Parties in Karen's hometown of Lufkin, one of their showers, engagements, bridals, rehearsal....the wedding of course and now we are getting ready to do an after wedding session! WHEW! But it's been a blast.

Baby K

Mike and I got to shoot this SWEET 7 week old baby girl. She stayed awake for the WHOLE session....that is a first!!! Enjoy. We can't wait for her next session.

Christine & Jeff - Oakmont Country Club

We have had so much fun with these two this summer. We had a great engagement session that produced a BEAUTIFUL engagement signing book, we enjoyed taking Christine's Bridals at the Arboretum and then their big day. These two did not miss a single detail. They had the classic car exit with bubbles, Monarch butterflies and all. When was the last time you had a brides cake, grooms cake, and TWO chocolate fountains?!?! It was awesome. The beautiful flowers were done by A Stylish Soiree.....Becca is fabulous! One of our favorite DJ's was there to keep the par-tay going....DJ Randal Stout.....if you haven't booked your DJ yet, check him out! They also had two little cuties who kept going back to the photo booth for more pics!! They were so cute. It was a fabulous day with these two. Enjoy!

Julie & Jared - The Tribute

We had an awesome time celebrating Julie and Jared's wedding day with them at The Tribute. You know all the rain we've had, well these two pulled off an outdoor ceremony with gorgeous weather in JUNE! We so enjoyed getting to know their families and their CRAZY OU friends! Lauren & Steven - Paradise Cove

You probably remember Lauren from her beautiful bridals! She was one of the happiest brides on her wedding day!!! We enjoyed their wedding at Paradise Cove on Lake Grapevine. We LOVE to work with Tina, Kristen and Kim too! It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a party inside! It seemed like it went by SO fast! Everyone was having a ball on the dancefloor. Lauren's favorites are the ones we shot of the bridal party just after the ceremony, we've included a couple for you to see.
