Absolutely! This change has no affect on current or past clients. All new weddings and sessions will now be booked through BluDoor Studios.

Baby Sawyer is One!

We got to enjoy a couple of cuties this past Sunday! Here is the first one.....oh and his parents too! hehe Jennifer (mom) was at a a wedding we shot last summer, and is going to be the Matron of Honor in a wedding we are shooting this year! Sawyer just turned a year old and couldn't be any cuter. He was so good during this shoot....I think we're going to have to get him to give Macie a few lessons!!!

All I can say is WOW! We shot these on one of those CRAZY cold days in Dallas...but you can't tell by looking at Ellie! She looked beautiful and bared the cold for some great shots. We had the pleasure of meeting Ellie, when we shot her sister Elizabeth's wedding last year....we are also excited to shoot her other sister Emily's wedding this August! Now Ellie.....you can't go off and get married on us....at least not for several years! hehe Ellie is one of the busiest Seniors we know! Cheerleading, Competitive Dance, looking at Colleges, Lifeguarding.....I'm tired just listing it all!

I can't begin to tell you how much we laughed with these two! Seriously, my mouth hurt from smiling when this one was over. We had so much fun....we can only imagine how awesome the wedding is going to be!! Dave is getting ready to ship overseas to serve our country for a few months....be safe Dave, we can't wait for you to come home!!!

These two met at Vanderbilt and if we have the story correct, it took him almost 4 years to get her to go out with him! hehe They got a little tired during the session and decided to "lay down!" Let's just say he made her drop and give him 20 during the session as well.....see below!

Many of our clients have met our daughter (or I was pregnant when we shot their weddings) so we are always getting asked for pictures of her.....well, she just turned one on December 13th. She didn't want to have ANYTHING to do with her cake!

She is not like her Mom and Dad as she wanted nothing to do with her cake! Not interested at all!!! Donna at Opulent Cakes made her cake and it was FABULOUS.....as usual.

Heather and Jim - Fort Worth Engagements

We met with Heather and her Mom a few weeks ago and scheduled to take some engagements while Jim was home from the Army over the Holidays. They are waiting on orders to know WHEN they can get married......but we think it will be next year! We had a ball in Downtown Fort Worth....we even stopped into the Flying Saucer to have a beer during our session! We were off to a good start as I was wearing my UT gear and come to find out Jim played Hockey at UT for 4 years and Heather graduated from St. Edwards in Austin! So we had a lot to talk about. Not to mention they are High School sweethearts who went to the same school as Mike. It truly is a small world!!!!!

Holiday Engagements! - Lana & Matt

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a few days of relaxation! We certainly did!!! We were delivering prints and canvases until the Friday before Christmas!!! So we are glad to be relaxing for a few days this week....maybe we will even have some time to really update our blog!!

Here are some images from a session last week with Lana & Matt. They went to SFA (where Mike went) and come to find out Mike and Matt were in the same fraternity....several years apart however! We can't wait to photograph their wedding in the spring.

We just recently completed a Couple of days where we shot Christmas Card Photos! We had SOOO much fun! Lot's of kids, Christmas music, donuts, candy, ornaments and some reindeer antlers....oh and Santa too! Our clients donated to the Genesis Women's Shelter and we were able to raise over $600 for this great organization! Thanks everyone!!!

Holiday Card Photo Sessions - Genesis Women's Shelter

Hello friends and family! We are scheduling 2 days of 20 minute sessions in our studio for families and kids. However, we are not charging a session fee! We just ask that you make a donation to Genesis Womens Shelter in lieu of a session fee. We will be collecting the money - either in check or cash - and providing a tax deductible receipt from Genesis for your donation.

You will be able to view several styles of our custom Holiday Cards, choose your design, and place your order for this year. The photos will be posted a few days after your session. You will then be able to select the images for your custom card and order any additional prints as gifts. The cards and prints will be completed in approximately 2 weeks.

Our hope is to make the Holiday Card sessions as easy as possible for everyone and raise money for a great charity in the meantime!

We will be scheduling the Holiday Card sessions on the following days:

Sunday, October 21st 11 am - 4 (Every 30 minutes) (Cowboys play at 3:15)
and
Sunday, November 11th 11 am - 4 (Every 30 minutes) (Cowboys play at 3:15)

Kylie's Bridals - Downtown Fort Worth

Some of you have been following the story of Karen and Derrick on our blog. They are a ton of fun and put together a simply fabulous wedding. Because there are so many pics, we are going to blog this one in phases! Here is phase one! Their wedding was held at Oak Lawn United Methodist. The girls had their hair and makeup done at Osgood-O'Neil Salon, the wedding party stayed at the Crescent and the Melrose hotels, and the reception was held at Arlington Hall at Lee Park. There were many great vendors including the band Inside Out, Chris Watson with Dynamo Video, Stacey with the Wildflower did the flowers and many of the details you will see at the reception and Sarah with AK Events, handled the coordination. Destination Wedding Contest!

If you or someone you know, is getting married in an exotic locale in 2008.....then this is the contest for you! To enter, you must send us a one page letter explaining how the two of you met and why you should be chosen as the Destination Wedding 2008 Couple! Along with your letter, please submit two photographs of you two together. You can send it all electronically to our email at info@krausestudios.com. Please put Destination Wedding 2008 in the title. We have passports and will go anywhere; however, the only stipulation is we must be available on your date. To view our calendar, visit www.krausestudios.com and click on Calendar.

Here is what you get......two photographers for the day of the wedding, rehearsal if you would like....and a day after session on the beach/in town/on location. During the day after session....we can do some cool, fun stuff and get as crazy as you would like! You will also receive all of your high resolution images on DVD, online proofing and ordering for family and friends, and a proof magazine with all of your images.

You provide.....two round trip airline tickets to the location and 2 or 3 nights lodging, depending on how much you would like for us to shoot! That's it!

We have had so much fun with these two this summer. We had a great engagement session that produced a BEAUTIFUL engagement signing book, we enjoyed taking Christine's Bridals at the Arboretum and then their big day. These two did not miss a single detail. They had the classic car exit with bubbles, Monarch butterflies and all. When was the last time you had a brides cake, grooms cake, and TWO chocolate fountains?!?! It was awesome. The beautiful flowers were done by A Stylish Soiree.....Becca is fabulous! One of our favorite DJ's was there to keep the par-tay going....DJ Randal Stout.....if you haven't booked your DJ yet, check him out! They also had two little cuties who kept going back to the photo booth for more pics!! They were so cute. It was a fabulous day with these two. Enjoy!

Kelsey, Holden and their families are awesome people! We had so much fun sharing their day with their friends and family. Their rehearsal dinner was held at Bent Tree Country Club and got everything off to a great start. The day of the wedding, I spent some time with girls at the Park Cities Hilton where they were pampered by Kelly and Stephanie from Haute Facade.. They did a great job on hair and makeup! Mike hung out with the guys at Holden's parents house for a little game of "beer pong!" The reception was held at the Park Cities Club and the music was provided by Inside Out....one of our FAVORITE bands in Dallas. Finally, it was great to work with Chris Watson on Video! We had the honor of going to Texarkana to shoot Katie & Eric's wedding. It was a GORGEOUS Saturday, you couldn't have asked for better weather. This was quite an event that Katie had been planning from LSU. They had a fabulous band, great food, and lot's of drinks. We had a ball with this family. The three daughters purchased this session as a gift for their parents 30th Wedding Anniversary. We had to schedule around one sister who lives in New York, and one who lives in Austin! We finally got them all in town and had some fun. Jill and Bret had their rehearsal dinner at Joe T. Garcia's the night before their wedding.....it was pouring down rain, the streets were flooded and we were all worried about the next day.....well it turned out BEAUTIFUL! Seema and Matt are two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet! The story of how they met is precious! Matt is finishing up his residency at Parkland and they are both super involved in their church. Seema's sister has known Mike for a few years (back from his marathon running days) so it was great to spend their wedding day with old friends and new ones too!

Busy, busy, busy!

We just realized we haven't updated our blog in a while. Last week we were in Las Vegas for WPPI and DWF which are two large wedding photographer conventions! We had a great time, learned a ton and got to mix and mingle with some old friends and make some new friends! We'll have to fill you in our inability to get home.....let me just give you highlights.....10-15 Dallas Wedding Photographers in Vegas, flights to Dallas cancelled......weddings on Saturday = Problem! Luckily we all made it home in time (barely) but it was rough going for about 36 hours!

We have three fabulous weddings to post and several sessions from March.....check back in a few days and we should have them up!

We are so excited to be a part of Adrienne & Jarrod's big day! We will be shooting at Perkin's Chapel at SMU with the reception following at the Crown Plaza. We had so much fun shooting Adrienne's bridals (parking tickets and all!) As you can see, Jarrod is a HUGE Sooner fan and Adrienne warned us (the die-hard Longhorns) that they will be walking in to "Boomer Sooner" at the reception. This past week we shot a few bridals and engagements and even a senior! Here are a few engagement pics.

Karen & Derrick are getting married in June in Dallas....we can't wait! These pictures were taken for her hometown newspaper. We are going to do a more casual, fun shoot after her big Engagement Party next month. Enjoy!

New Studio

We haven't updated our blog over the past few days because we've been moving into our new studio! We are so excited! It is so much BIGGER than the old one in Deep Ellum. The new studio is located in the design district in Dallas just off of 35 and Oaklawn. Our new addres is 1027 Dragon Street - Dallas, Texas 75207.

Kellie & Big Al from Kidd Kraddick in the Morning!

We had the joy of shooting some "mock" engagement pics of Kellie Rasberry and Big Al Mack from Kidd Kraddick in the Morning on 106.1 KISS FM here in Dallas. They were a lot of fun and none of us could stop LAUGHING! Big Al was all into it! We tried to get him to lay a big kiss on Kellie but she was having no part of it! Enjoy! Dori's Bridals

We have known Dori for a little over a year and she is also a photographer! We had fun making her stay on the OTHER side of the camera this time. Her Mom trained her well when she was a little girl to smile pretty for the camera! We had a ball with Dori and her Mom last weekend and shot some fun stuff. Her wedding is only 3 weeks away! Enjoy.

Brent and Kellie's Wedding

We spent January 27th with Brent and Kellie on their wedding day and all we can say is.....it was a GREAT start to the 2007 wedding season! We had such a ball and we have to say it ranks up there in the top 5 wedding receptions we've EVER been to! They had a ball! We started the day with hair and makeup at Osgood-O'Neill Salon in Snider Plaza and then we were off to the Scottish Rite Cathedral for the ceremony and reception. Kellie and Brent were telling the truth when they said they were going to par-tay! Their friends were so much fun and even their parents friends were on the dance floor all night!

New Year = New Blog!

As we quickly approach 2007.....we have decided to start blogging at the request of many of our clients! They want to see what is happening at Krause Studios on a more regular basis....so here you go!

December has been a busy month for us! We had the joy of shooting tons of families and couples for Christmas Card photos as well as some engagements for our 2007 couples. In addition, we added a future photographer to our family! Macie Grace was born on December 13th, weighing in at 8 lbs 10 oz, and was 19" long. She is a doll and we are having a lot of fun playing parents!

Finally, Mike was able to say goodbye to his previous job and now is full time running our photography business! 2006 has been a great year and we are looking forward to what 2007 has in store for us!
